Colonics, also known as colon hydrotherapy or colon irrigation, is a method of removing waste from the colon without the use of drugs or laxatives.

By introducing filtered water into the colon, the waste is softened and loosened, resulting in evacuation through natural intestinal movement. This process is naturally repeated several times during the session.

Our Angel of Water systems are the premier colon irrigation systems without the use of drugs or laxatives. It is the safest, simplest and most effective solution.

HOW IT WORKS

The Angel of Water, an open system, helps eliminate waste (toxins) from the colon, without the use of medications or laxatives. This system provides a safe, comfortable, and hygienic colonic experience by ensuring the water is filtered (purified) and the temperature is maintained between 99 and 103 degrees — the optimal range for effective intestinal cleansing. In the process of colon cleansing, gravity-fed filtered water is gently delivered into the colon which then stimulates natural muscular contraction, consequently eliminating waste. After the session is over, the client is instructed to stay seated, in order to drain any residual water on an ergonomic basin, sitting up or leaning back in a lounge position. Each session lasts 40 minutes, with the option of a 60 minute session if needed. When finished, the client can rinse off using the basin sprayer and the towels and wipes provided. The client can then towel dry before dressing and leaving the colon irrigation room. The session is conducted in a private, relaxing atmosphere.

Our client testimonials include benefits to weight loss, no longer suffering from: allergies, chronic pain, constipation, headaches, gas and bloating. Clients included having more regular bowel movements. Most clients report a general sense of well being and an “empty” feeling in the abdominal area after their session is over.

What Are The Benefits of a Colonic?

A session is a comfortable experience for most people. A therapist is available to explain the process and ensure you are comfortable. If discomfort is experienced, the session can be stopped at any time.

A disposable nozzle is inserted into the rectum and warm, purified water is introduced to stimulate natural bowel movements. The session lasts 40 minutes, with an option of 60 minutes if needed.

At the end of the session, time is given to drain any excess water, so you are able to carry on your day without accidents.

What Is a Colonic Session Like?

At Northlake HydroColonic, we remind clients that the number of sessions depends on the individual. Every person’s goals are different. Following a healthy diet, with plenty of fiber and drinking plenty of water, will maximize results. We offer single sessions and packages.

How Many Colonics Do I Need?

We suggest that you not eat two hours before your session, and increase your water intake. We also suggest drinking half of your body weight in ounces of water.

What Are the Contraindications for Colonics?

Following a session you will be able to resume all normal activities. You may experience one more bowel movement the evening after your session and may not have a bowel movement the following day.

Will I Be Able To Resume Normal Activities After?

Following your colonic we suggest you eat light foods, such as smoothies or soups. Try not to eat a heavy meal or anything that usually causes you to have gas or bloating. If you experience gas we suggest having hot tea and that will dissipate the gas.
